Below are three brief proposals for my project, each with varying language and slight differences in their information accumulation and presentation.
Using a multi-media approach of video and prints, I will explore the stories of individual people’s LGBTQIA+ experiences and create visual representations using abstract imagery through the use of emotion mapped to color. With the use of a brain sensor, I will collect data about people’s reactions during the interview to use as a foundation for supplementary prints.
Relevant sketches:

I want to capture moments in time using a combination of photography, video, and print to convey the emotions felt, words used, and stories conveyed. I will use a layering and repetition to create a compilation of the information into artistic visual imagery in conjunction with the use of historical context.
Relevant sketches:

By collecting data on the experiences of LGBTQIA people combined with interviews of personal perspectives, I will create a video narrative that ties together different elements of each person’s story. In supplement, I will create prints that reflect specific aspects of the information I collect as additional visual narrative through the use of mapping.
Relevant sketches:

During this brainstorming process, I have drawn inspiration from looking at works from the DADA art movement, that concerns itself with creating works that were not necessarily aesthetically pleasing, but still showed direct critique of systems in place through the use of editing, collage, and technology. In addition, I've found the essay, "Artistic Data Visualization: Beyond Visual Analytics" by Fernanada B. Viegas and Martin Wattenberg to be helpful in bringing different artists into view that use data to create art in a purposeful way, with the specific intention of creating art, as opposed to merely using it as the presentation.
I was particularly interested in Jason Salavon's work to be reflecting some of the same ambitions I have for myself in the aesthetics and methods I want to try during this project. Below are some of his pieces that I enjoyed most:

Edited Pitch:
Using a multi-media approach of video and prints, I am exploring the stories of individual people’s LGBTQIA+ experiences and creating visual representations using abstract imagery through the use of emotion mapped to color. With the use of a brain sensor, I am collecting data about people’s reactions during the interview to use as the points for correlating color to emotion, allowing me to create supplementary collage screen prints. Viewers can engage with the work by observing visuals through a monitor in addition to the physical prints while listening to selected audio cues.
